What I demonstrate with
Now, I highly recommend using Artist Quality acrylics. But by all means use what you have (acrylic brands are able to be mixed and matched), because that way you'll get to know your own supplies.
BUT! If you're not happy with the results you're getting, please note that this list details the supplies I'm demonstrating with, so maybe you'll need to try a different paint - or brush - or surface - they all make a difference to the end result.
Golden Fluid Acrylics - I’m using the intro set of ten, but the colours I actually use in this painting are:
-
Titanium White
Ultramarine Blue
Quinacridone Magenta
Hansa Yellow
Yellow Oxide or Gold Paint of some kind
Carbon Black
Burnt Sienna
Brushes - I use a #16 and #10 flats, and #12 and #6 round (my Mont Marte acrylic brush set is in the first picture)
Tear off paper palette (any palette will do - I just really like the tear-off sort)
Canvas paper (I like the Mont Marte brand for this product) - I demonstrate on the A3 size pad, but you can paint whatever size you like!
Coloured Pencil (for drawing the initial lines)
Water bucket
Old teatowel
Hairdryer (optional)
Apron (optional)
