My sister went on a caravan trip - her son got his croc stuck in an escalator, her other son broke his arm on the monkey bars, and she realised she was not cut out to do home schooling. So...my suspicion is that caravanning may be better in our dreams than in reality. Let's go with that.

I hope that when you look at this you can hear the Beach Boys music playing and the salty sea breeze in your hair! Follow me, step by step, as we paint this cool combi, complete with palm trees, a collection of surfboards and a striking shadow.

There's something special about sunsets and sunrises - that's why so many of us photograph them! But I'm not a huge fan of paintings of sunsets where the foreground is a flat black silhouette of trees and things. So this painting has more. The amazing sky, united with a sizzling, bright, colourful scene. I hope it gives you the confidence to see landscapes in uber-full colour!

I hope that when you look at this painting you're reminded of how it feels on A. Beautiful. Day. It's just perfect. And I hope it inspires you to paint a landscape that you love.

I love something to be beautiful AND useful and have painted on things, as gifts, for years.
