I remember it so clearly... I was nine and had finally saved up enough coins to buy my own Crayola Caddy. It was the most glorious thing! A yellow 'lazy susan' with paints (watercolour and poster paint), brushes, marker pens and crayons - I would metaculously arrange them in a colour rainbow at every opportunity.

I still love art supplies (they're heirloom items!) and I still love the colours of the rainbow.

But now that I've been teaching painting and art for so many years, I know that I don't need the full set of rainbow colours to make a rainbow. I'm now an experienced 'colour mixer' and I'd love to share with you what I've learned.
